Tiger continues to struggle
Woods shot 78 yesterday. This guy is really having a tough time putting two good rounds together, much less four.
|
Guessing the fact that at times he couldn't even bend over to extract his ball from the cup had something to do with that.
He's still one of the best golfers in the game and Sunday's are so much more enjoyable when he's around. That said, Patrick Reed put on a clinic after the cut. He's looking like a force to be reckoned with for years. Exciting time to be a fan of the sport. |
There was no cut.
and Reed is pretty full of himself  |

and Reed was def oozing about his ability in the interview just after his win. Hopefully, he's right about himself. We could be in for a treat if so. |
I was rooting for him down the stretch...then felt like an ass when he did that interview. A little brash!
|
I don't mind a little self confidence, but top 5 in the world? Let's beef up that resume a little bit more before we start going there.
|
Reed didn't even play in the #1 spot at Augusta State. But they won the NCAA's over Georgia. Worked his A** off Monday Qualifying in 2 and 4 spotters, and earned his card. Wife caddies. So he has earned his card the hard way. Went toe to toe with Speith and won a playoff.
Can't fault his enthusiasm after winning, but Roberts grabbed him right off the 18th so he was still pretty stoked. Probably could have used a few minutes to collect himself. He'll get schooled in the locker room soon if he hasn't already. His next interview will be different (I hope!) Hey.............he's 23. |
Tiger Woods' back being treated
Tiger Woods aims to play next week's Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill, where he is the defending champion and has won eight times, despite back issues that have plagued him the past two tournaments. http://espn.go.com/golf/story/_/id/1...-play-bay-hill |
