Coming to Saratoga area this summer, need some advice
My wife gets a few extra weeks off this summer and we have decided to come to NY. We are looking to rent a place to stay for a week, most likely in the mountains somewhere. What things do I need to know? List best places to stay, eat, visit, etc. Of course I am going to make it to Saratoga for at least one day of racing, so any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

Check out Airbnb for rentals and reserve early! :)

Saratoga is very expensive during racing season. Lake George to the north is touristy but the area is in the mountains and you can rent a place outside of town in a country like place, much less expensively and drive 30 mins to the track. A racing museum visit is a must. stay away from the Travers week racing too. Very crowded and $$$..
Search the past threads on the subject here and paceadvantage as it is a well worn trail. Good luck and enjoy Saratoga, you WILL be back, nothing like it. |
One day of racing ? You should go for atleast 3 days, and the Lake George are is a great place to be.
