Illinois ADW & IRB budget bill passes legislature..

Any word on the clowns in Springfield, passing the ADW wagering law in the great state of Illinois? The horsemen need to know, let alone the fans.
Thanx in advance

Listen to Marcus Hersch on ATR today at top of hour two. Word is that the bill components are teed up for passage in the morning ahead of the Governor's address. This package is much bigger than what was at stake last year.

Legislature gets it done. Bill on Governor's desk. Three year term too so this won't be repeated again right away.

Good to hear. I loathed having to trek to an OTB to play last year. The only good that came out of it for me personally was I got a job out of it. One night I met a guy at an OTB and long story short he's a local business owner that offered me a job, been happily working there ever since. Would have never met him if I was betting at home.

The only problem now is the horsemen contracts with the tracks need renewed. Will the tracks kick them while they are down?

Nobody has mentioned a surcharge is being added to winning bets by Illinois residents.
