Our boy should be a decent price against this field.

Glad one of us actually has money in ther pocket to bet with this weekend. What a weekend I pick to be broke. Guess I'll just have to get really drunk on Saturday. Jungle Prince looks overmatched but you never know. Pure as Gold is awfully good and so is a fresh Bordonaro. Quite different than beating the old and tired Captain Squire and the extremely overrated Jet West.

will most likely be the best chance we have to get a decent price on him in a while. This is definitely an ambitious spot for him no doubt.

He has worked once since his comback win at Muleplex:D

nothing but the fact that Jungle Prince beat him last out:D :D

I have to think Jet West would crush Jungle Prince on a normal track like Santa Anita. Although I get a huge kick out of Fairplex, it really doesnt represent a horse's true ability. Jet West is overrated but still a better animal than Jungle Prince.

Tim...did you see the same race I did?? Jet West had zero excuses in that race. Jet West had JP beat in the lane and JP just came and outgamed him to the line...

Gander 10-05-2006 08:00 PM

It was Fairplex. Jungle Prince owns that track Kev. It was clearly a prep for Jet West. Your right, no excuses but cmmon. Jet West has run numbers that would bury Jungle Prince and done so on real surfaces.

I am gonna swing by the OTB tomorrow and pick up the form for Sat. I will take a closer look at the race then.

Too bad I am not a pick 6 player...would love to take a stab at the carryover tomorrow...especially with 5 of 6 on the grass

With your savy on the grass you could take a legit chance for under $100 no? You could get someone to go in with you and get a little crazy right?

Gander 10-05-2006 08:08 PM

Pure as Gold has gotten real good. Him and Bordonaro are in a different league than Jungle Prince, who I still think is better on the turf. Sorry, I dont put too much stock in wins at Fairplex. 3rd will be his ceiling on Saturday.

Alot of it would depend if the Diasy is a legit single in the 6th or not.

Should be a good betting race. I cant see Bordonaro being 100% for this off the layoff and this only being a prep for the BC. His class should get him 3rd, but I think the exacta could pay quite well with him out of it.
