On 4th down bad snap, if the punter retrieves the ball and throws an incomplete forward pass, shouldn't the ball be returned to the original line of scrimmage with the opposing team taking over? Last night you probably could make the case that it was a fumble but I don't think is as cut and dried as portrayed. It wasn't even reviewed. Announcers even noted he channelled his inner Garo Yepremian. For those under 40 google it.

that wasn't even close to being a pass......I think he was the only person in massachusetts not yelling "kick it out of the endzone." that's like punting 101. he took a big shot too.
