Dallas: 3rd Time A Charm?

I wouldn't touch the game, but I am surprised that Philly is favored by 3 right now and it is in Dallas. Amazing this is the 3rd year in a row in the last game it is win and your in for them. Both the Giants and Skins I think were better teams than this Philly team....not that either of these two can beat the biggies in the NFC b/c they can't.

Agree strange line to see the Iggles favored on the road.
I wouldn't touch that game either. To me it kind of like playing certain
p-4 or p-3s, some races you just take a stand.
No "all" button for the NFL
Eagles lose to the Vikes, then humiliate the Bears, well I guess the Bears did help
Cowboys tried to lose from ahead again

If both teams play like they did yesterday, I think it's a forgone conclusion who wins.

The loss to the Vikings could end up being the Birds' saving grace. Humiliated, they bounced back like a racquetball to CRUSH a team who needed the win for a division title.

The defense, Minnesota game notwithstanding, has been improving markedly from week to week. Nobody in their right mind wants to oppose this team in the playoffs.

Just have to get thereby stomping Dylbert and his posse of clowns. I'm ALL FOR THAT!

Cowboys are gonna need to score 40 to win IMO. No way that Dallas defense stops Foles and McCoy. They've failed over and over again in the same kind of spot with better teams than this one, so I don't know why anyone would expect them to win Sunday.

randallscott35 12-23-2013 03:13 PM

Yeah the Dallas D is quite bad. I dunno, I just think sometimes teams rise up to the occasion. My point is more than this Eagles team isn't as good as the giants or Redskins last year IMO...maybe the Dallas team isn't either....but yes, if the Eagles play like last night, they win.

@mortreport: Tony Romo's MRI not good. Ruled out rest of season, per source telling @AdamSchefter

Mike, more or less confident now that you're facing Orton instead of Romo? My guess is less.

they barely eked out a win over the skins. i don't see them beating the eagles. orton or not, romo or not.

Garrett playing it close to the vest, not confirming that Romo's out. Interesting.

Less, and it seems like i'm all by myself. The texts i've been getting since the story broke are making me downright nauseous.

I understand why people are brimming with excitement after last night's win, but they still have to handle business come sunday night. It's like the fans already forget about a Matt Cassell led offense just hanging 47 (!!!) on the defense.

The defense has been getting better each and every week, but when a guy named Matt Asiata scores 3 td's (and perhaps his only career td's) on you less than two weeks ago, it's at least a plausible thought that the Cowboys can hang something similar.

Nothing would make me happier heading into 2014 than a 3rd straight failed attempt to shore up the division for the Cowboys at home. (Other than selling this lovely home we have for sale in Medford, NJ soon :$:)

The defense is the problem, not the offense. Therefore, I don't think Orton will be horrible at all. They will score some points. Can they stop Philly? That's what matters

Now Eagles -7.5

Ed Werder ‏@Edwerderespn Source says Tony Romo got epidural injection for herniated disk. Takes 2-3 days to determine effect of shot. Source very skeptical QB plays

I've been through this, big time, like could barely get out of bed for a month. It first happened when I was playing tennis. It happened in warm up, but I played a good two hours. It hurt like hell, but still, I could finish. By the next morning I couldn't move. The pain was like nothing I could ever describe. I'm not trying to compare football to tennis. The fact he finished a football game with that is incredible and that guy is super tough. I'm just saying it has probably gotten worse.

They say he needs surgery. It would shock me if the first epidural shot did enough to allow him to play. It generally takes a series, each helping a little more. Even with the first two shots, I still had to take some serious painkillers just to get around the house, and it was shooting down my leg just like his.

randallscott35 12-24-2013 01:23 PM

Maybe Allday can pay him a visit?

casp0555 12-24-2013 01:29 PM

Well, he is taking a big chance if they let him play, if that baby ruptures, he is f@#ked. good luck romo

jms62 12-24-2013 01:31 PM

Orton had a few very nice days with the Broncos. That 7.5 looks tempting.

Too late. +7 -120 if you want Dallas. Will be 6 or less at gametime.

ateamstupid 12-24-2013 01:36 PM

Over 52.5 looks like a lock.
