Zaikov returns Friday at GP

Very impressive maiden winner from early in the year returns tomorrow in a six-furlong allowance at Gulfstream. Won by 14 1/4 first out with I believe a 99 Beyer.

Tons of speed on paper, but if its a typical Pletcher Gulfstream returnee he wins for fun.

Zaikov wins with minimal urging in 1:08.73, shading :12 for his final 1/8. Exciting prospect if he can stay healthy.

Far more likely he races a few more times in Florida, then retires. Sad, but true.
