Because the holidays are amazing but also stressful. And bitching is cathartic.

It's a good thing my stepmom is an amazing human being the rest of the year because being her Christmas elf every year leaves me a gibbering mess. There are times I just want to shriek, "YOU KEPT TWO SMALL BOYS ALIVE FOR FOUR YEARS IN A LABOR CAMP DURING THE POL POT REGIME. HOW CAN YOU NOT FIGURE OUT AN AMAZON WISH LIST?"

I also don't understand why the top item on my 47-year-old husband's wish list is a sonic screwdriver ("Make sure it's the one used by the Eleventh Doctor, please"). Coincidentally, our three-year-old is requesting exactly the same thing. Along with a pink Hello Kitty phone ("A real one. Not a toy").

While I love that he makes no distinctions between "girl things" and "boy things" yet, I hate pink and I hate Hello Kitty. And, a real phone? Srsly? YOU'RE THREE. NO. GET BACK TO ME IN TEN YEARS WHEN THE ANSWER WILL STILL BE NO.

Whats up with people decorating their cars with lights, antlers, Santa hats, etc..? Pretty lame :p

I live behind the mall in Humble Texas....basically a one way in and a one way out...yet all the idiots still continue to peel off into the neighborhood thinking there is a back way out. Losers :D
