it'll be a mixed commercial/residential development.

the article is 8 years old but indicates a promise was made that the remains and memorial could be relocated. i couldn't find anything recent indicating specific plans.

closing H.P. will Present major problems. besides being the best main track in california I believe it also has the most barn space.......I see horses going out of state.
