Goldencents

Being pointed to NY Cigar Mile, Should he win, he will have 3 grade1 wins for the year, Santa Anita Derby 1 1/8, BC Mile and Cigar Mile, Can he win the 3yr old Championship? since there is NO standout 3yr old, and he would have the most grade 1 wins of all the 3yr old colts.

Doubtful...more likely would cement the sprint Eclipse.

Won't get the joke SA track this time...Seeing is believing. Like POS horse of the year talk before the Distaff....let's talk if he wins it.

Vegaskid 11-08-2013 09:30 AM

I do not see why not. All the rest of the 3yo are garbage.

NTamm1215 11-08-2013 09:37 AM

I like Goldencents, but when calling other 3YOs "garbage" you have to remember that he was on a near 7 month losing streak before the Dirt Mile.

Vegaskid 11-08-2013 10:05 AM

Right, but after the Preakness he loses by a head in the Bing Crosby (G1), a length in the Pat O'Brien (G2), and a 1/2 in the SA Sprint (G1)... All 3 sprints he put in winning efforts... if you break down every G1 winning 3yo and stack them up I think Goldencents should be the choice.

his overall 2013 record (9 total races):
2 wins in G1's --- BC win
2 2nds in G1's
a 2nd and 4th in G2's
1 win in G3
and the 2 off the boards in the triple crown G1's

not a bad consolation prize

Always love betting against these horses after the BC. Heck even Midnight Lute got dusted by Daaher.

Who else is pointing to the race? Im excited to bet against both of them, with who though? I have posted multiple times here that Im excited about that Saturday as I had a wedding and could not really fire BC day. Im really looking forward to the 30th.

RockHardTen1985 11-08-2013 06:45 PM

Forget that last post. I see the drf article. Honestly I dont want another of those horses.

RockHardTen1985 11-08-2013 06:46 PM

Would have loved Ron The Greek cutting back in that spot or even Orb.

Not a race I look forward to betting but just watching.

I'll be rooting hard for G.D.

do you think this helps insofar as credibility in discussing the subject?

Just looking at charts now. Im guessing Jacobson will wheel back Praetereo in the Cigar mile. What kinda beyer did he put up in the 8th today?? 105-110 range?
Reload has fallen apart. I believe I decleared him the 2012 Travers and Hong Kong cup winner.

Bogey 11-09-2013 05:10 AM

Assuming he stays healthy, Goldenscents will be 3/5 in the G1 Malibu.

Yes. Who else would be deserving? When you look at the G1 3yo it is bad.
