Alright! Great news!

Lava 10-31-2013 10:06 PM

Great news! what do we need to get into the paddock?

Alabama Stakes 10-31-2013 11:30 PM

walking in an orderly fashion is preferred. :)

Good Luck and Safe trip to Toy Cannon and Junior

Storm Cadet 11-03-2013 02:22 PM

Usual race...slow pace, nothing to run at...starts too late his kick and gets nosed out of the money again 😡

BigBlue 11-03-2013 02:27 PM

Same thing - great effort but just short. And again, seemed like he was moving best at the end. So close.

hoovesupsideyourhead 11-03-2013 03:33 PM

jr thought he was on wise dan..if he moved a bit earlier he would have won imo

Storm Cadet 11-03-2013 03:57 PM

agree...TC was 9 lengths back at the half with a time of dawdling pace of 50.8...JR should have know to stay closer to the pack with that slow pace, then he still tried the rail got blocked then swung out 3 wide and then tried his late run. Too little-too late again. :zz:

Just arrived in Baltimore from L.A. and caught up on the race. Cannon keeps running the same over and over. 78 Beyer. As Ron said, not much pace and he gets beat a half length. Hopefully gets one more crack with NYers before turf season ends. Not sure yet, but expect he'll make the trip to Payson Park for some tries at Gulfstream this winter.

Ron,

I guess you think these are stock cars. Even if you could motivate him early, you can't use him to keep him closer to the pace if you want him to finish. Would like to see him get a 9f try or even beyond.

I was thinking the same longer may help.

I was trying to think back on all of his races - I don't remember him backing up in any. He always seems to be coming late regardless of his final placement.

Turf Routes seem a little difficult to get a slot in but what about when you start asking for 9 and above? What is the availability of 9, 9.5, 10, 12 on the turf. Or dirt for that matter? He has just one win - are there conditions that he could fit in at those distances? Just wondering.

What if at a mile he's right in there with everybody else ... but at 2 miles he's 10 lengths ahead? :tro:

Same condition. NY-bred ALW/N1X. They run them occasionally.

Alabama Stakes 11-07-2013 10:07 AM

It's not bad getting checks and keeping that condition alive is it ? I like these kind of honest effort hosses .

keithting 11-07-2013 06:49 PM

It really is amazing at how consistent TC is....No bounce in his PP's.....
