Saginaw

Dave Grening reporting that he did not make it, fractured both sesamoids in left foreleg.

One of my favorites. Big time Bummer. :wf:wf

ateamstupid 08-30-2013 04:51 PM

Terrible news. One of the coolest horses ever on the NYRA circuit in my book.

randallscott35 08-30-2013 05:53 PM

Just dreadful. RIP

Vegaskid 08-30-2013 06:28 PM

Man! Sorry to hear the bad news.... He was loved by many fans, and I know he will be sorely missed at the track.

mclem0822 08-30-2013 06:30 PM

21 of 41 lifetime, with 10 wins in 2012 tying him for most wins in the year in North America. Just shy of $1,000,000 in career earnings.

He was as game as they come and had a will to get to the wire first. Big loss for the game.

Sad to hear the news today. He was one cool horse and I enjoyed following him. RIP big guy.

ARyan 08-30-2013 09:01 PM

Very sad news.

Kasept 08-30-2013 09:21 PM

Very difficult atmosphere around the track as the news spread. The Drawing Away people were devastated as you'd imagine, especially as they deservedly have seen Saginaw as indestructible. But none of them are. Very sad. RIP.

hoovesupsideyourhead 08-30-2013 10:43 PM

Always get that empty feeling when something like this happens. It could be the Derby or a 5K claimer at Penn. Hopefully he exited doing something he loved.

Alabama Stakes 08-31-2013 10:11 AM

the kind of hoss every owner should hope for. So sorry for our loss.
