i wasn't sure what to title this. the whole story is just silly/amazing/infuriating.


exactly what do these people want? what do they expect? what part of 'freedom of religion' do they not understand? why do so many want govt. run religion, but govt. run THEIR religion. do they think that would work?

Do we have to take them back?

that's one of the questions that came to me. another was, how much will this cost us? instead of bringing them back, so they can regroup and take another stab at dying, can't we just send them to the theocracy of their choice? where things are so much 'better'?

Best comment I saw about this (balloon-juice): "So basically, my reading of this is that your God ****ed with you on the high seas for three months and then whisked your stupid asses right back to Arizona where you belong."

great comment. and yeah, i think they're worth investigating. they made an attempt at the darwin award this year.

At least they set sail and let God make them FUBARED instead of strapping bombs to themselves and acting as God.

That said, no way should the US taxpayer (non-taxpayers have should have no say) pay for their return flights and if they signed their citizenship away they should be deported.

You all do realize more than a few religious zealots celebrated the end of Ramadan in a murderous rampages this past week as well?
