A portending divorce and a slip back to alcohol landed Gomez in rehab and he now seeks to return to riding. All up to the stewards now, with fines for missing mounts, but Garrett dealt with his problems forthrightly and seeks redemption which should not be denied. Story link here ,

that's too bad for gomez. a marriage ending is one of the worst things for a person to go thru.

Wish him luck...tough deal but courageous of him to face his problems and take steps to recovery.
I see him every morning on the July Santa Anita calendar winning the BC juvy with Beholder :tro:....again wishing him luck in his recovery

I'm a huge fan of Garrett. Hope he can come back to where he was and deal with the problems.
