The Catholic church (in the US) has been ordaining gay priests for over 50 years. It seems the pontiff believes being gay is a sin one must ask forgiveness for? :zz:

If only the pope could be non-judgmental regarding abortion he'd really be on to something.

His decision to not ordain women I think is based on religious doctrine rather than chauvinism but that's just my opinion.

You can be celibate and make the choice to refrain from having sex but still have sexual orientation toward your own (or the opposite) sex.
