Yankees/Mets no longer invincible

Both of these teams are very beatable now. No Pedro, No Randy Johnson and both can be taken out in a 5 game series.

The Mets are less vulnerable because the NL stinks. The Yankees could easily get knocked out by the Twins in a 5 game series. :)

When was either team invinceable? Its a very weird year for baseball. No team is anything close to invinceable.

They were extremely heavy favorites in Vegas to get to the WS.

That hardly means anything.

Not sure the guys in Vegas had the Marlins beating the Yankees in 2003

Or the Red Sox coming back from 0-3 against the Yankees and then sweeping the Cardinals in 4 in 2004.

Or the Mariners making a first round exit after winning 120 games in 2001.

Diamondbacks beating the Yankees in 2001?

Angels ousting the Yankees 2 times in postseason play in the last 4 years.

The guys in Vegas dont know squat about baseball.
