5/4 (BEL): #8 Toy Cannon
Toy Cannon :50.50 B
The gelding breezed a typical half Saturday on the Belmont main. NY-N1X going 8.5f-T this Saturday seems likely. |

Is this going to be a great Saturday of racing or what? Can't wait to watch the Belmont simulcast from the bowels of the Churchill plant. I have to believe that days like this is what it is all about. Go Toy Cannon!
|
I will be making the trip to Belmont. It should be a great day of racing.
|
Meeting up with 6 of the other owners in the paddock pre race. Will post some pix!

Anxious to hear from Ron and the group that was at Belmont today. Another 2nd today and lost a lot of ground..
|
Watched the race while at the Racing Hall of Fame Derby party to benefit Old Friends. Hope he came out of the race feeling great, we'll get them next time.
As an aside I picked up a Thunder Gulch halter at the party today. Nice addition and will put up next to the winner's circle of Toy Cannon. |
Looked great in the paddock. He is a beautiful animal! :)
|
He looked very good. He ran very good for as wide as he went.

Toy Cannon 76

Absolutely beautiful day at Belmont yesterday ! Warm, sunny, no clouds unlike Churchill :). Mr. Pompa was very cordial and appreciative of all the owners and guests that came to support Toy Cannon. Was nice to meet so many of the co-owners!
Toy looked great in the paddock. Trainer Mott's assistant used a shadow roll for the first time Mr. Pompa pointed out as did many of the others. Although we didn't get the win, the place/show payouts assured us we at least broke even on across the board wagering and I told some of the crew my fear of getting upset by the #1 horse which I played several times in an exacta to at least make it a profitable second place finish ! Hope to see you all next week at the Big Sandy to watch Pal race. |
