IFFRAAJ TO MISS BREEDERS' CUP ENGAGEMENT

Iffraaj will not run in the Grade One Breeders' Cup Mile at Churchill Downs on November 4. He will be forced to miss the remainder of the season after suffering a setback following his success in the Group Two Gner Park Stakes at York in early September.

Godolphin's Simon Crisford said: "Iffraaj hasn't been right since running at York and we are running out of time with him. He will now not be able to run in the Breeders' Cup Mile. All future plans are on hold.

"Librettist has improved since he returned lame after the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes at Ascot last weekend. At present, the plans are to prepare him for the Breeders' Cup Mile."

I know i should be grateful... he's alive and of course I'm happy for that.

It just sucks though..... I love this one so much and couldn't wait to finally see him in person and was thrilled he was having such a great year.....
