Steve Asmussen

Barn is ice cold on both coasts and in between. What gives? Have there been some changes?

I have also noticed Pletcher's horses not running much of a lick either lately.

Any examples of horses that aren't performing? Because his horses are running terrific at Gulfstream.

If you're referring to the horse that just ran at AQU...that horse stinks.

Bob Baffert is 12% at Santa Anita and Adam Kitchingman is winning at 100 percent in 2013 going 4 for 4 and D Wayne Lukas is having a great 2013 so far. What is going on here?

Maybe Bob's got poor herd dynamics.

Asmussen is doing okay at Fair Grounds. He has been active at the claim box, especially claiming for himself. He took six on January 19.

I took a bath on Sir Bond yesterday at SA.
I thought 5:1 was a gift considering how weak the field was compared to what he had been facing.

I had Sir Bond too. The slow pace hurt his chances.

gamblin4ever 01-28-2013 05:43 PM

Compared to past races, he was closer to the pace, IMO.
