Figured this would be a good place to start a thread for the 2013 Dubai World Cup Carnival, which begins on Thursday, January 10.

Out of Bounds, last seen defeating Secret Circle in the Sham Stakes in 2012 at Santa Anita, is a Godolphin entrant in the Maktoum Challenge - Round 1 on Thursday, where Barbecue Eddie (yes, that one) will be one of the faves. Honestly, a slightly disappointing renewal given the entries. Final declarations with jockeys, posts, etc comes on Tuesday.

Overall - unless you have some stellar inside info, the third race is near impossible by my count tomorrow, just a brutally well-balanced contest. The seventh race as well could go many different ways - I sided with a price lacking a distinct opinion.

The races with the lowest purses are the main features at Meydan on Thursday.
