Just because Denman will be calling the BC, in one of the races there's gonna be a classic stretch duel... watch him not even raise his voice... he will ruin the moment because he doesn't get excited for moment's like that. I hate mellow annuncers. The might call an accurate race, but will it be heard over the snors?
|
Feel sorry for people who depend on the announcer to get them excited for a stretch duel between two top Thoroughbreds.
|
Hooves I think that in house at CD you may still get Luke K. I know on Derby Day we get Luke's calls down there in house, not the tv announcer.
Since you will be there I think you may be hearing Luke. |

I think Dave Johnson does the radio for Sirius.
Sounds like we're going to have a real good group of Trailers at Churchill this year.... |
as long as its not Batagllia calling the races...I don't care.
|
I really think Jeff Gilleas should get more calls. He has a pretty sweet 80's style tux he whips out on WV Breeders Classic day.

Yo John....I have an interview on Thursday for a job that will take me to Roanoke. That will put me closer to Chucktown...will def have to meet up there if I get the gig. |
Pedigree Ann,
It's not just about calling an accurate race, it's also about capturing the moment. Mellow announcers don't do that. To me, listening to Trevor Denman call a race is like listening to Ben Stein with a South African Accent calling a race. |
Jeff Gilleas- He actually calls the race sat Chuck-town? I thought he was just the analyst... Maybe his hero is Mike Battaglia lol.
