Frankle is not the "Best"

Who do you think would win the "Mythical" race between Frankle,Wise Dan,Little Mike and Fort Larned on a firm 1 1/4 turf course lets say at Woodbine on a clear day in fall?
What do you think there odds would be?
What about the race shape and would this be a race to decide the best in the world?:confused:

Dahoss 11-14-2012 09:59 PM

Wow

letswastemoney 11-14-2012 09:59 PM

It wouldn't be fair to compare Fort Larned to those turf horses.

He said Fort Learner.

Perhaps he is a champion grass horse in some foreign country?

I really hope the "If you can't beat'em, join'em" thing doesn't apply here.

I'm not trying to set expectations, but this may turn out to be the greatest thread in the history of the internet

As they come around the final turn Rockhardten leads by 3, but is weakening!

Alabama Stakes kicks in with a serious bid!

COMING DOWN THE STRETCH IN ZENYATTA'S COLORS IS GOODCOPY!

It was ruined as soon as the first reply scoffed.

It had unbelievable potential.

Anyways, I think good copy made a mistake by leaving out Groupie Doll.

She'd have rolled those other ones.

I would be looking to get 3-1 on Frankel in that race. He'd probably only be 5-2 so I would have to pass.

On a clear day I like Frankie's chances especially if its between 40 and 65 degrees because we all know Frankie likes it sort of cool being he races in the UK. But if it was hot like Arlington Mil day how could you not love Lil Mike..

Did you ever try Sapphire Gin?

goodcopy 11-15-2012 09:42 PM

Why? No Opinion

Ill state the obvious....
Frankel would be 1-9.
Point Of Entry would be lower odds then the other 3 at 10f. Not to mention about 10 other Euros.

Just asking to look at "The Greatest In The World Title"

Well Little Mike might just steal the race!,Point Of Entry would have to be 5-1 or better if Frankel(spelled correctly)is 1-9,That leaves Mike or Fort Larned(who has a great deal of turf ped)to be 10-1 or better!
I think that this not only makes a great race to bet but I don't think the ALMIGHTY FRANKEL is a slam dunk!
The horse that ran second to him twice or more got trounce so at the very least there is room to make a good case for the others!

Mr. Commons win this. Shirreffs has been pointing him to the race for months.

Mr. Commons split the field and was 5th and just 3 lengths behind the winner Wise Dan (soon to be Horse of the Year)

Not a disgraceful performance for a horse that was trading at 75/1 odds in the race.

He raced within one length or less of 3/2 "favourite" Excalibration at every single call and finished within a length of him.

Even though he proved to be not enough racehorse ... it doesn't diminish Shirreffs long proven ability to point for an objective.

I agree that Shirreffs is a master at pointing for a long-term objective. Many of his peers can barely keep the wheels from coming off after a few months of training/racing.
