What is going to be the Sunday headline for the BC

I think Steve Byk should have Contest for who predicts the best headline for the BC before the races are run and he could let winner guest host one day on his show for a day!! What do you say Steve?!!

Here is my headline:

"Richard's Kid comes from nowhere, to Rule the Day!!!"

If you get that right, I agree, Byk should have you host.

Yea I took a little bit of a shot. I didn't want to use an obvious one like "Baffert dominates the Cup!!"

King Glorious 11-02-2012 10:21 AM

"Game Over Dudes. Baffert star locks up Horse of the Year title with dominating win in Classic."

atolunch 11-02-2012 10:30 AM

Rosario Flat Out dominates Breeders Cup Day!

Calzone Lord 11-02-2012 10:38 AM

It's not going to be the headline obviously ... but I was startled by the fact that I had a very hard time tossing out a DWL horse in a couple spots.

He had that brutal triple digit run of consecutive losers in graded stakes run going earlier in the year.

Hamazing Destiny looks really competitive in the Sprint on CJ's numbers -- I had to really obsess over the fact that he's trained by Lukas and in off a layoff to not like him.

I don't even remember the last Lukas horse I gave a serious look to in the BC. Probably Orientate was the last one.

Not to take away from Wise Dan but what I came away from that race thinking was "what might have been?" had Animal Kingdom not been injured so much of the time. I've always underestimated his talent but it's clear that he's a very, very good horse.

Agreed. B.I. should be allowed to take a baseball bat to that jockey in the Belmont that got AK hurt.

Rock Hard Ten guides Trinniberg and Little Mike to victory.

Associated Press reports that Brian Hernandez, Jr. "rides mostly in racing's minor leagues at Ellis Park and Kentucky Downs."

29 racing days at Ellis and 5 at Kentucky Downs. Must sit on his ass the other 11 months.

I need to take him off ignore ( and read more here ). If I knew he knocked Trinniberg, I would have tripled my bet.

Hmmmm, $1000 vs having to read his posts....

....nah, I made the right choice.

"larned the hard way"

Great performance by the winner. Is it just me or did Baffert look like he could have killed bejerano?

Good one. In retrospect, "Baffert blanked/Euros tanked" might have been a good one, but who would have believed it. Obviously, in the Breeders Cup you have to expect the unexpected. On second thought, Maybe that applies to all of horse racing. And yes Baffert did look like he wanted to kill Bejarano and he said something about telling him not to let other horses get the jump on him out of the gate, in a post race interview.
