The Obama interview on David Letterman
 

Letterman eliminated everything on his show last night after the monolog, and only talked with President Obama for the hour: Libya, Romney, the debt and deficit, etc.

In depth, unscripted, and no teleprompter.

I'll guess some Obama-haters won't bother to watch it, but will trash it anyway :D

Good for you :) Pres comes right after stuffed cat. Then there is some discussion of nakedness.

He is still making things up (job creation)and has little understanding of economics. Basically he is just running through his commercials one after the other.

Nothing better than a softball question session with a weirdo who has a f.uck room above the set.

If the word "patriotic" is used in one sentence, and then used an other sentence, it's funny how some people mistakenly think those sentences are the same and mean the same, isn't it?

I especially liked the part where he pretended not to know how big the national debt is.

I know Bush also went on Letterman, but at least Bush had the guts to regularly face questions from a hostile press including that cranky, nasty, bitch Helen Thomas. Obama goes on TV for all the softball questions and doesn't have the guts to even answer questions from a press that is completely biased towards him. What a gutless idiot.

every candidate/president goes on letterman. they also all at times face tough questions.

all i'm asking for is consistency-and that seems an impossible request. all presidents take vacation, play golf, take softball questions, take hard questions, etc, etc, etc. obama is no more or less guilty than anyone who came before.

I was referring to his seemingly allergic response to occasionally addressing the press corps in person, without the prescripted softballs.

Terrific point and something I tried to get across yesterday.

It's pointless to discuss ANYTHING with someone who can't concede these facts.

note that both obama and romney have been lacking in that area. it's why i don't sweat it, regardless. besides, the 'one-ups- manship gets tedious, when in fact both parties are guilty of the same things..over, and over. it's why i don't care that bush went on vacation, or obama, or reagan, etc.
i go on vacation. i could be working. who couldn't?? and i make myself available in case something important comes up, just like whoever is in the white house at the time. it's really ridiculous.

Danzig, Obama NEVER faces the press to take questions, there is no way other way to spin it.

I feel like I am watching Psycho...one's in the basement and :rolleyes:one is at the front desk..
