Point Determined

Alright, I am torn. I am going to make one wager today. I was gonna play a Pick 3, blah blah blah but after spending 3 days at The Jug and capping and playing anywhere from 10-20 races a day their, I am spent mentally.

Anyways, I am looking over this race. And I have always been a believer in this animal. Strong Contender and Lawyer Ron draw posts right next to each other. In my distorted sense of looking over this race briefly, I am thinking they are going to go nuts early on and this sets up for Point Determined to reel them in on the far turn and down the stretch take the lead either on the inside or outside.

Agree or disagree? I think Point's odds might be enticing as well seeing how I think LR and SC will take all the money.

why would LR 'go nuts early' when he won his last from off the pace? he doesn't seem a need the lead horse, not from anything i've seen.

no sense betting a horse on odds alone--if you really feel that he has a good shot and would present value, go for it. however, if you feel the race will finish a certain way, play some exotics. OR, sit and watch the race and enjoy, and find beatable faves elsewhere.

Point Determined will not be a good price. He will be the 8-5 or 9-5 second-choice. I think Lawyer Ron, who will be about 6-5, is a much beter horse. As danzig said, LR came from about 7 lengths behind in his last race.

Lawyer ron when nuts early. Went to the lead and was rank to place. Lawyer Ron has a sprinters brain, he just know he has to be in front. Too bad he's a talented horse.

yeah, he went nuts early....he didn't have to, and mckee should have left him alone. why fight and waste more of his energy?? he's certainly not going to win the battle! and didn't win the war either.

Something ain't right Deb. PD may not be a top tier Grade 1 horse, but he is not that bad. Something has to be wrong with him.

That is correct. I'm no fan of PD but he can certainly run better than that. If he was at his best, he would have probably run 3rd and got beaten by 2-3 lengths. He's not a very good horse but he can run better than he ran today. He probably just needs a break.

cali probably catching up with him....
