Of course Obama doesn't mention the 24 million jobs lost under this disaster of an administration.

Or the eleventy-billion illegal immigrants that have crossed the border!

Dear, the fact that you think this administration - filled with formerly Republican accomplishments - has been a "disaster" shows how factually, severely out of touch you are with reality.

Feed the hate, dude, you apparently need it to survive.

Wow, if it were not for broad, simple assumptions, you'd have none at all.

I've been a Republican my entire life, have financially supported the party, worked for the party, very active in Illinois GOP. Still a registered Republican, in fact. Obama was the first Dem I ever voted for. Proudly. And I'll vote for him again.

The strong, capable Eisenhower Republican Party I knew is dead and gone, taken over by religious zealots, conspiracy theorists and lobbyists. The current Democratic party has move so far right, that I fit nicely with most of what they believe.

No, I don't "hate" them at all. Sorry they destroyed a formerly useful political party. Disappointed, no longer find them useful for governing, find some of them scary with what they would do to American citizens, some of them simply loony, yes indeed.

That you think the only and first adjective that should apply is "hate", regarding politics, well, that's just a frank demonstration of how fall the party and it's supporters have fallen.

Politics isn't about "hate". Get ****.ing real.

Antitrust32 09-05-2012 06:16 PM

okay... all you do is use the word hate

and you say politics are not about hate?

get a reality check, woman.

:zz::zz::zz:

the word hate was regarding you, not my politics.

I have no idea why I even tried... its better to ignore the ignorant.

I have pointed out that the Republican Party has been filled with haters - and you can't deny they form a good base of that party now, can you? Do you know what the John Birch Society was?

I have not been a registered republican for 5 or more years.

The people who make the most noise in the party suck big time. The elected officials suck.

I have a ton of friends... and read people on this board, who are Republicans, and they do not suck. They are pretty realistic, conservative, fair, believe in equality. (not talking about dellinger here)

Just like Christianity... most Christians do not suck, they are pretty realistic, fair, etc. The ones with the most voice, the ones on TV, the ones like Sarah Palin... well they suck donkey balls.

The crazy's out there make the most noise.

I also believe both parties are equal on the "hater" scale.

The hate towards Bush was equally as nasty as the hate towards Obama. If you disagree, well then I dont believe you.

Well, the "hate" directed at Bush doesn't in the least match what has been thrown at Obama. You can "not believe me", but that's what I've seen. The death threats, the vitriol, the lies far exceed what Bush received - and he got a shoe thrown at him overseas. Bushes skin was white, and yes, indeed, some (not all) of the Obama-hate is definitely race related. Nobody accused any previous president of not even being a citizen, but someone from Africa.

Barack Obama, Jimmy Carter without high interest rates. What a country!

Thepaindispenser 09-06-2012 07:14 AM

20 million jobs have been lost during the Obama administration and I have yet to see one idea from Obama that would create sustaining private sector jobs. No wonder why more and more people keep dropping out of the labor pool.

Please provide links to statistics that back up this absolutely absurd claim.

I noticed the word "net" is missing from the "new jobs" statistic...

That's right up there with "you would have gone bald sooner had you not used our super-duper hair tonic."

That kind of claim is now outlawed by the FDA by the way.

Think Progress? I am surprised as you have always seemed the type to cull stats from legit sources.

http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/f...-election.html

However, CNN fact-checked that claim and found it to be "not the whole picture." Instead, CNN found that there has been a net increase of just 300,000 nonfarm payroll jobs since Obama took office. And if you count government jobs, there are actually 400,000 fewer people working today than in January 2009.

When Democrats use the 4.5 million jobs number, they're referring to jobs created after the economy bottomed out in January 2010, one year after Obama took office. That time frame excludes the worst job losses, which took place in 2009, and which many Democrats argue were the result of Bush policies.

CNN concludes: "The figure of 4.5 million jobs is accurate if you look at the most favorable period and category for the administration. But overall, there are still fewer people working now than when Obama took office at the height of the recession."

As of July, Obama is averaging +0.84 percent annual job growth in his term. That places him ahead of Bush, who saw +0.51 percent growth in his first term and -0.84 percent in his second term. Obama is also tracking better than George H.W. Bush, who presided over +0.69 percent growth during his one term in the White House.

However, Obama's job growth percentages trail far behind those of some other recent presidents, including Bill Clinton (+2.60 percent and +1.60 percent), Ronald Reagan (+1.75 percent and +2.53 percent) and even Jimmy Carter (+2.30 percent).
..

well, obama isn't lying when he says his job growth is better than bush. but that's not exactly saying much, is it?
