DRF

Maybe this is nitpicking, but shouldn't they know what distance a race is for MTO's if it comes off the turf? For example in todays Spa 11th, what is the point of printing a horse's record and tomlinson at the 1 mile distance the race was scheduled to be run on turf in the MTO PP's when the MTO's will be running at 7 furlongs if the race is taken off?

Same with Brisnet, makes me laugh when an MTO's comment includes, may improve while trying grass.......

Might be a suggestion for the trainer

DJARUM 07-29-2012 06:36 PM

Are you speaking from experience, just kidding that's funny....

DJARUM 07-29-2012 06:39 PM

I'm still laughing....

These are some of the best races to bet, my favorites. You have to handicap it yourself fast after the surface switch and late scratches, hoping a lot of people are relying on the comments and rankings that were made for the original surface. It's usually written into the conditions but not always like the 11th. Know your track. Can't run 1m or 8.5f on the main at Saratoga. Older go 9f, younger go 7f.

A bit off the topic, but anyone have luck opening DRF PDF PP's on a Nook?

My Ipad crapped out and I hijacked my son's Nook, but can seem to open the PP's after I click "All Races". .

Thank god you married my sister and redefined the boundaries of degeneracy within the family to make me not look so bad.

I had a good laugh at a comment a few weeks ago on a Frank Calabrese owned horse at AP:

suspicious drop in class.

Try downloading them on your computer in PDF and emailing them to yourself. Not sure why but I have the same problem on my tablet- this is the best workaround I could come up with.

Well, stone the crow...if it isn't Philcski.

Thanks. Going to be away without printer for 10 days of Saratoga... need a game plan. Wich there was reader app you could note scratches, grade horses, highlight info, etc.

I think you can download the ezPDF Reader for the nook. After you save your e-mailed file you should be able to open it in that app and make notations.

Nice! I'm going to try it too. The $2.99 version right?

3kings 07-30-2012 09:51 PM

Yes, it works OK on my Galaxy Tab.

pmacdaddy 07-30-2012 09:52 PM

I still can't open it on the Nook. From email or direct down load to Ez reader. Says download complete, can't open file. Maybe it's me....

Not familiar with the nook but the process I use is:

Download file.....go to my documement (download) section and click on the file....it asks me how I want to compete this process...... I click on ezPDF Reader..... It opens in that format.
