British Open -- Who ya like? Who ya betting?
My 3 friends and i are going to Firefly this weekend, and i've convinced 2 of them to toss $100 each on a golfer and split the coin if we get lucky enough to hit. I was touting Molinari pretty hard (before i even looked at the odds). We have absolute no say in each other's picks, but here's the problem. I already know who they are picking. Tiger and Harrington, two of the faves. Had one of them took a stab on someone different with higher odds, i'd pull the trigger on Molinari without any reluctance. The idiot that i am, ive let that sway me in the way of Justin Rose. Decisions, decisions, decisions..

With the amount of parity there's been the last few years, I don't know how one can take anybody at < 20-1. I'm no golf guru but these are the ones that would interest me:
Els 33 D Johnson 50 Jacobson 80 Watney 100 Love III 150 Baddeley 150 I also wouldn't bet Luke Donald with Monopoly money. |

Here are my picks for the P.A contest.
Matt Kuchar Zach Johnson Ian Poulter Paul Casey Angel Cabrera |
Against my own self-serving interests I am hoping for some real "Open" weather, and the struggles that will follow. In the local golf course pool I have Woods, Scott, Z Johnson, McDowell and a couple others in a best 4 of 6 format, but I still hope for the traditional crap they usually have to play in. I have Donald, Harrington, and Van Pelt backing up theses picks, and only have Donald because Karlsson scratced at the gate. Kaymer blew the break, as did Rose, so maybe Jacobson or Molinari can get me in the winner's circle.......

How about Tom Watson holing a 35 foot birdie on 18 to make the cut?

Should be plenty of drama tomorrow, with Scott and Woods in the last group.
