That's shaping up to be a hell of a race.

I wonder if they will consider aborting the West Va Derby plans with Hansen?

Indian Charlie 07-15-2012 11:00 AM

any reason given?

Last week one of the TwitClockers commented on how Paynter was the best horse in Baffert's barn and that Bode did not look like he came out of TC Campaign in good order, said looked skinny.

Zayat tweeted the other day that he was dull.

You'd have to think that any of the "decent" horses that were going to the Jim Dandy will go to the Haskell now (Paynter, Gemologist, Hansen). The $1 million is just too much to ignore. Unless, of course, Dr. Hansen is really married to WV because he owns 10% of a few flash in the pan 2YOs.

So many rich spots available for 3-year-olds, and at a time when starts are fewer and injuries every bit as common when horses raced a lot more often.

If Hansen switches to the Haskell, $750,000 is like a lottery pool for some very mediocre 3YO at Mountaneer.

I stopped following him cause of his constant retweets about random stuff so I didn't see it, and maybe what I saw was a retweet.

Sum Of The Parts easily won the $400,000 Red Legend Stakes at Charles Town.

He can run in the $750,000 West Va Derby and the $1 million PA Derby at Parx a few weeks after the Travers.

The Indiana Derby is only worth $500,000 -- the Super Derby is 500k -- the Oklahoma Derby at Remington is worth 400K in September.

Zanjero would have been licking his chops.

Per Zoe Cadman on twitter...Dr. Hansen confirmed
on Facebook that this is now the plan with Bode out.

Social media. ;)

I guess now Gemologist can be sent to the Haskell since Bode is not going. Because of the Winstar connection, they were being kept apart. Gotta love it.

You told me Sum Of The Parts was an absoulte rocketship last year. Remember? I remember. You said he could not get beat in his debut. What a guy you are Dougie.
