How did you find your BV pick Clear Pasaj?
Sorry for being a newbie here, this is my first post, but I located this forum after trying to figure out how to ask "my guru", Mr. Byk, how he possibly got the #8 Clear Pasaj as his BV pick for the first leg of the pick 4 at Belmont last Sunday? I was very happy with myself to have figured out the 7, Erin Enchanted, who got me the pick 4 in an excrutating head bob. I just couldn't believe in the Clear Pasaj pick, but it would have been a monster exacta to have played the 7-8. Long story short, what possible clues did you have to unlock Clear Pasaj? I can't find her even after the race!
Thanks for everything, you are the best! Green Gazelle Thistledown town |
GG,
Essentially, I thought Clear Pasaj deserved attention getting a first try on dirt. At the big price, her turf sprint tries established her as a viable player and with any improvement on the main, I thought she had an outside chance to win. Welcome. No apology necessary for starting out. Thanks for the kind post. Steve |
Clear Pasaj step up on dirt
Steve,
Thanks for the reply, I appreciate the pointer. I thought a little about the turf to dirt angle, but felt like there was too far for her to step up. Now that I have an Xpress bet account, I tend to rely on the Equibase figures mostly, and often use Brisnet as well, with the occasional Thorograph. Do you have a general guideline you tend to use to say how much of a bump a horse can get going first to dirt or first to turf? A 5 to 10% increase over what their pattern might otherwise lead to? Thanks again, have a great weekend At the Races! J Green |
