Cavs

They drafted a sophomore that comes off of the bench at Syracuse 4th overall.

Any opinions on this anyone? Ever heard of this guy?

It's the NBA, Doug. Nothing makes sense.

Pretty solid pick. Lot of experts said he is one of he few nba ready

Waiters has just about everything necessary to be a successful 2 in the NBA. Good driving and jumping ability, great hands, good and improving shot, good passer. That said, I don't know how anybody can say definitively that a guy who only played 60% of his college team's minutes last year is NBA ready.

He could be Dwayne Wade. Huge talent.

this player is ready/ good skills.
good pick.

The Celtics pick up the 7footer (Melo)from syracuse.
good pick. if KG stay and mentor this rookie
i see him transfoming into a BBMonster..

I saw exactly one college game in person last year Syracuse/Villanova and Waiters who is from Philly played well. He was clearly the best player on the court but Boeheim spent most of the 2nd half yelling at him. Has a great first step and is explosive going to the basket. He was pretty indifferent playing zone defense which might have been the chief reason for Boeheim's ire. I thought he was the only NBA level player who played in the game but of course forgot that 7 foot guys who can block shots at the very least (Melo) always have a place. He and Irvine will be an interesting backcourt.

Speaking of Wade, what many of us thought has proven out, he will miss the Olympics due to knee surgery. Explains his performance in the finals. Turns out that of the big three, only James was healthy...says a lot!

Says if they get healthy and Ray Allen they are unbeatable next year.

Healthy and Ray Allen are rarely used in same sentence recently

dalakhani 06-30-2012 01:12 PM

i think the celtics and the thunder could both get better next year.

OH my lord, a Cavs thread!! I just hope he's better than the guy they picked 4th last year. I'm unsure if Tyler Zellar is worth the 24th, 32nd and 33rd picks in the draft either. but hey, it's Cleveland.
