Heat cancels Churchill Thursday; Evening cards Fri-Sat-Sun

CD cancels 9-race Thurs. card due to impending heat wave; no decision re last 3 days (Fri/Sat/Sun). Forecast high Thurs: 104. Problem is, forecast is for VERY hot here thru closing day, Sunday. CD's John Asher: "One day at a time".

A group of us are heading down for closing day Sunday(if they run). We are selfishly rooting for another 18 race marathon card similar to FG a few months ago... Of course, good health for all is first and foremost rooting interest.
