The talk on Twitter is that Belmont has been cancelled today due to the heat.

Hopefully Steve or Andy can confirm this.

Whoa that's pretty scary. I guess they didn't wanna offer a wager on which jockey was most likely to be struck by lightning in the 5th.

Any idea what Pletcher plans on doing with The Last Meow since her optional claimer got canned today? As her name would suggest, she's the last Storm Cat foaled so I've been keeping an eye out for her next start. Not sure why she hasn't raced since February. Some sort of setback I guess.

She wasn't running today.

I'd guess that the race will be brought back in the near future and if the filly is right, she'll be entered.

Wow I went to look at the DRF notification of her entry in race 8 on 6/22 and they've already pulled it. I saw it just 4 hrs ago when I went to see which race she was entered in and it dawned on me that Belmont cancelled that part of the card. Did Todd already scratch her or something? Does DRF not send horse watch notifications of that?
