Vol Jack

Like to be the first to congratulate Jack on his great showing at Keeneland this afternoon in their big contest. Jack they were all running for second today

helicopter11 04-22-2012 05:19 PM

Congrats! What is the prize?

The Bid 04-22-2012 05:20 PM

Id also like to be the first to send my condolences. Jack was disqualified for not betting enough in the final race by 200 dollars. Although he won the contest by 11000 dollars, he recieves no prize money, and no vegas trip.

He left about 18000 on the table

Yeah, but you got about half that in your back pocket that you can let him hold for a little bit.

helicopter11 04-22-2012 05:24 PM

Just saw the prizes on thier website. It was live bankroll so he made some money. Congrats either way.

If a minivan is seen pulled off to the side of a bridge between Keeneland and Tennesee (with 3 baby seats in the back)... Somebody stop and tell him not to jump.

Hypothetical Equivalent of Secretariat getting took down in Belmont because a 2lb saddle weight fell out.

The Bid 04-22-2012 08:42 PM

Jenkins nobody wants you on the grounds at chd on derby day. you can blackcat w the best of them

helicopter11 04-22-2012 08:56 PM

It was a live bankroll of 2k and you say he won the contest by 11k? So he took home AT LEAST 9k home. I would say thats a good day.

The Bid 04-22-2012 09:08 PM

9000 doesn't get jinx off couch. he needed that extra 18000 for his 5th transatlantic vacation of the year.

He had a great day but missed out on an additional 16k and a trip to the NHC b/c of the DQ. That's a very tough beat.

The Bid 04-22-2012 09:14 PM

He had it coming nick. that's what he gets for calculating his bankroll down to 100. you should see the guy figure a tip at dinner

LOL. I promised him I'd help him calculate his bets at the Breeders' Cup Betting Challenge. When he gets the invoice for that, he'll really need that 16k.

The Bid 04-22-2012 09:28 PM

If the invoice is not over three million he probably has it stuffed in his sock drawer.

Calzone Lord 04-22-2012 10:37 PM

Jack...dude.

Congrats on what I'm sure was an excellent display of handicapping and betting...but you really should pull every single hair out of your head.

pweizer 04-23-2012 07:59 AM

I was sitting one row in front of Jack at Keeneland and got to witness first hand what an amazing day of handicapping he had. He was far and away the best in that room. The rules are the rules and it was a clear violation so they had no choice to DQ him. But, it is a real shame nonetheless.

Jack--it was great meeting you in person and spending time with you yesterday. Keep your head up and I do hope to still see you at Saratoga this summer.

Paul

Thanks Paul. You are right they had no choice. It was no ones fault but my own. The teller and I had a miscommunication. Live and learn. I look forward to trying to make it to Saratoga this Summer.
