Gotham Superfecta Pool

Superfecta handle was 256,087 which

1. Highest Superfecta Pool amongst this years Preps (211,590 for Cashcall)
2. Roughly 120% increase from last years Gotham (2011-114,941, 2010-117,674)

Moral of the story is if they give us full fields in graded races we horse players will show them the money.

So that is what you read into it? I was giving Kudos to NYRA. I guess I have a reputation of being a wise ass since I previously posted to someone looking to pay for picks to simply use your tweets and Byks value horses at > 10-1. That was also looked at as a wise ass comment but the fact it was intended as a compliment and would be profitable over 100-200 races for anyone doing it.
Getting back to the point the industry has to be innovative in coming up with ways to increase field sizes for these type of races. And before you ask me how to do it I will give you the answer, I don't know and it isn't my job to know and I'm not getting paid Mid 6 figs to figure it out.

Well, it's safe to say that the approach of raising stakes purses is going to be taken by NYRA. If money doesn't get them in the fields then we can continue to scratch our heads.

Maybe some arm twisting, rewards for having more than 8 entries, I don't know the answer.. Even if we have a few hopeless entrants, hopeless entrants create overlays elsewhere and often stumble up 2nd-3rd or 4th to juice the exotics.

You're overreacting. I didn't mean any single thing other than your thread reads like racetracks don't know this. They do. And, believe me, we would like to offer the full fields every race if possible.

I assume you realize the bonuses NYRA has offered to purses at different times, and during entire Saratoga meets, in an attempt to increase field size. I assume you realize this was done on Gotham day.
