Algorithims to have surgery

Obviously off the Derby trail.

Anything that sounds like Al Gore had no shot anyways.

In all seriousness, I think this horse was more hype than substance, but who knows.

Hopefully not another year where the most interesting and memorable thing all prep season and leading up to the race is who can keep healthy. I've never seen anything as bad to follow as last year.

The horses are racing less and less -- they're working less and easier (unless Baffert has them) -- and somehow still getting sidelined at least as much, if not more.

Todd has a talent for keeping them sound and intact, this is very surprising..

i personally believe this is all connected. horses, especially the good ones, have no bottom these days.

Again, owners and trainers seem to refuse to race their horses into shape. God forbid you lose some races.

Yep, if the NFL just had a few light pads workouts and then played a game, not many players would last long either.

Just more bad luck.

Loser in a two horse race

How do you think Javier Castellano feels after he chose to ride him over Union Rags?????? Leperaux must feel like the luckiest guy in the world, he dumps michelle yu , then he mounts the derby favorite for a ride to infamy! :zz:

I am sure that Castellano is losing a ton of sleep over the possibility of getting a quality derby mount. It is not like anyone has ever picked up a winning Derby mount a day or two before the Derby, let alone over two months out.

I'll reiterate what I said the other day about this silliness.. Castellano and agent Matt Muzikar are more than mollified by the endless parade of Pletcher Cadillacs they'll be riding ad infinitum year round until further notice. They have a business to run and riding more or less first call with Pletcher over the handful of starts Union Rags will make is the most sound decision possible.

I didn't know Castellano rode first call for Pletcher. Whatever happened to Velasquez? I think Todd would have been mollified if Javier opted to ride the real 2 year old champion.

New rule...in order to use a word, you have to know what it means.

I thought if Steve could use the word, I could use it as well. I think it works.

I hope all goes well and he returns to the sport. Now I've got to figured out what to do with my fantasy stable since I never even got to score points with him.:(

He also traded in Michelle Yu for Shea Mitchell, which is a HUGE upgrade IMO.
