2/9 and 2/10 Podcasts

Is there an ETA for the above podcasts? I see the media link on the website but willing to wait if they're expected to load.

Thanks

Please use the Archive media link. Casey is working with ther podcast software people and our website mgmt company on a few things..

Just curious...will the old archive format be returning? I am blocked at work from downloading the files that were provided through the link today. I hope that this doesn't mean I lose access to the show just as the Derby Trail is heating up!

General Question, I just got an I-Phone, how do the podcasts work? Do I have to download them from the computer every day or do they upload automatically?

Me neither (since last Thursday).

rpncaine 02-14-2012 06:30 AM

Yep. Security software at my company blocks these kind of downloads. I'm now reduced to hearing what I can thru the stream. Bitch is I can't pause that or take notes fast enough. It is what it is.

Matt, congrats on getting the iphone, it is an awesome piece of equipment.

Go to your itunes and click on the podcast section. Do a search for At the Races with Steve Byk (or it may be under Throughbred Racing Radio Network) and click on that to add it as one of your podcasts. You can then download the podcasts to your computer and sync it to your phone on itunes

Use the USB cord to your computer and connect your iphone, in your itunes you will see your iphone appear in left margin. Click on that and you will see podcasts on the top margin. Click on podcasts and you will see that you can choose to sync the last 1, 3, 5 episodes, etc., to your iphone or you can change it so that you can select the specific podcasts to add. Right now I would choose the latter as the podcasts are not listed in the correct order with the most recent broadcast on the top. Just select what podcasts you want and it will sync to your phone. The next time you sync, you can select the most recent podcasts to add to your phone and unselect the podcasts you have listened to which will take those off your phone. (Right now you cannot get episodes from February 8 forward until Casey fixes the issues he is working on).

You can also go to the music button on your iphone, select podcast and add At the Races that way to your phone wirelessly.

Good Luck with it!

Matt,
If you have Sirius internet you can also listen directly from your I-phone. Download the free Sirius/XM app and you can listen live. It's also good for your Giant/Ranger games when you are away from your local telecasts. If you have to add the Sirius internet it's only about $3. a month.

Work on website and the pod/archive system at around 2pm today. Bear with Casey and Gatman as they try to figure this out.. THX!

Matt, Tom is spot on with the Sirius internet radio which I use use all the time to listen to the show in my car since it is not on Channel 126 after 10 am. During the day either during the show or even several hours after the end of the show, you can even press the Go to Now button on the Sirius Internet Radio App and start today's show from the beginning and even pause it if need be.

The only thing I would caution you is that if your iphone plan does not include an unlimited data plan, be very careful that you do not rack up expensive data charges if you are not using wi-fi.

Any chance you make it to the Big A tomorrow for AC?
