Tampa Pick 5 on Wednesday
 

On Wednesday January 4 there was a pick 5 (about $20k) carryover at TBD so I made a small play. I had 4 of 5 but they didn't pay any consolation. Does anyone know why (I think they paid consols on other days)?

Correct. They stopped paying consos (rightfully so) on December 29.

You should never get paid for 4 of 5. That's what depressed the payouts at Hollywood.

24% rake + 20% consol hold netted only 56% of the pool to the winners.

The consol was a joke, and fortunately they recognized it as that and subsequently did away with it. They also lowered the take out to 14% in April.

Tampa now nets 85% of the pool and carries over rather than paying 4 of 5 if it does not get hit. It's a great bet.
