I don't post over at the Paddock anymore..,

.. because the Beyer groupies have made things too hostile towards me. Not to mention the high school boys' locker room style of banter. But I have to post it somewhere.

NANNER, NANNER, NANNER! 9th of 11! Your top Beyer horse, best horse in the world Uncle Mo got stuffed! All you Kool-Aid drinkers think Todd Pletcher can work miracles with an average hot 2yo who barely progressed at 3, without adequate preparation? I hope you lost gobs of bets because you deserved to for your obtuseness.

I know I'm being vindictive, but I have been treated much worse by them. And lest I be accused of redboarding, I had expressed my opinion on the Blood-Horse board moderated by Jason Shandler.

Thank you for letting me vent.

Sightseek 11-06-2011 09:32 AM

Oh my god.

Arletta 11-06-2011 09:34 AM

Whoa!

Ummm... congrats?

Pedigree Ann 11-06-2011 09:35 AM

It's unholy glee. Schadenfreude. I still read what the trolls write and they have been all over Uncle Mo. I'll get over it in a bit.

Oh my God.

blackthroatedwind 11-09-2011 09:25 PM

Thank god for the internet. Where else could you find both great entertainment and the kind of idiocy that would make even the most wretched feel better about themselves.

Pedagogue Ann outdoes even herself. Pathetic has acquired a new level of desperation.

clyde 11-09-2011 09:53 PM

..uh-oh....

Will Ediby Abbey pull the trigger?

Does she have the guts?

Let's watch........should be fun.

clyde 11-11-2011 01:46 PM

Goddamity Ediby...what seems to be your major malfunction here? Don't coward out like CardUs.

You going to let Sterling get away with this?

r u ??

Pedigree Ann 11-13-2011 10:38 AM

I've been busy buying my first broodmare and haven't had time to post on any board for a couple of days. It's hard work (and COLD work) getting out to Keeneland in the morning and waiting until one of the mares you like looks like she's going to sell in your price-range. Didn't get one until late in Book 3 (Saturday p.m.). Half-sister to a G1 winner, dam of 3 winners from four foals of racing age. In foal on an early cover.

Oh, I don't mind being called a "Pedagogue", that is, a teacher. I've been a teacher of math and statistics, my mother taught music, her mother taught math and Latin, and her mother taught in a one-room schoolhouse in Indiana just after the Civil War. Teaching is an honorable profession and I'm pleased to accept the title of 'teacher.'

I was raised to consider the source of such remarks and not to lower myself to the level of the speaker (or typist). Although I sometimes fail to conduct myself with perfect dignity (see above), it remains my goal. Civility is a useful quality, not only for running a populous society, but for driving the deliberately uncivil crazy.
