What would you do?

So if I told you off a last ditch effort I had the last $1 exacta at Chas. Town for $840+, how would you react?

I'd ask 2 questions?
A) did you intend on playing the 2 horses in youre exacta bet, our did you mistakenly play the wrong numbers and they came in anyway lol?

B) did you take down the whole pool? I could see $800 being the total exacta pool for that place.

Congrats

Don't you love it when one of those Hail Mary's connects? Congrats Spydee.

Buy some medical marijuana for your friends?

Nice hit Scott!

Sightseek 10-29-2011 07:41 AM

Donate some to the horses (TRF, CANTER etc.) and toast to them with a very nice bottle of wine. :)

TheSpyder 10-29-2011 07:49 AM

I was under the influence of being "DUE"......

.....as well as bourbon, but did actually like the horses.

Second that, but with bourbon.

Sounds like you already tipped the teller $20.50 to get to an $840 return instead of an $860.50 return.

Congrats man.

I've witnessed you drink and handicap (and laugh at my clothing selection) first hand at the PID bar.

I can imagine that by the time the 9th at Charles Town rolls around -- how you could confuse any old 860/1 exacta combo into looking logical.

Calzone Lord 10-29-2011 12:25 PM

Took a quick glance at the race. The 3 was a complete and utter standout on paper. Shame you didn't play a tri or super with those two numbers.

The winning Beyer Par for the class level was 50.

The 2, 3, and 10 were the only three horses in the field who met or exceeded par in the last 5 months.

The 10 was also making a barn switch (avg trainer to avg trainer) but sometimes horses will move-up or move-down a good bit even on lateral trainer changes.

Considering he was one of only 3 in the field to meet or exceed Beyer Par and had an unknown element to his form with a trainer change -- he wasn't a bad 65/1 shot.

Most 65/1 shots there should be about 650/1 true odds.
