Nice track at Kee today (92 Beyer for FTS record breaker)

1 track record, 1 near miss
Must be the wind...

Chuck it's a champion caliber meet.

Are you implying that 30k claimers aren't supposed to run 6f in 1:09 flat?

:zz:

I think that is 2 year old filly 30 claimers you were referring to

What would a really fast horse have run 6f in today? 105.2?

Did you ever think that the 6 furlong track record at Santa Anita and Keeneland would be held by 2 year old 1st time starters?

Once.

Calzone Lord 10-14-2011 09:02 PM

The Factor was a 2nd time starter.

They just set another TR in the 2nd today.

That performance was LUDICROUS, absurd, beyond comprehension. The Trakus stats from the winner, compared to the other three horses that went with the pace was just amazing.

The 1, 2, and 7 went forward with the 8 (who was the winner, Grigio). Grigio was widest of all of them. The 1, 2, and 7 finished 9th, 8th, and 10th respectively.

After doing all this work, Grigio kept going...final 16th times...

8 - Grigio - 6.17s (tied for fastest final 16th with fourth place finisher)
1 - Casino Dan - 7.50s
2 - Thunderous G - 6.72s
7 - Clear Note - 7.09s

Applauding, the 2yo filly that went 1:07 3/5 with a 92 Beyer in breaking her maiden, came back to dominate a nw1x optional $50k race at Faithrounds today. She won by six over a filly coming in off a 10+ length, 80 Beyer maiden win at Delaware. Time was 1:10.34. A couple of races later, a 3yo LA bred filly went 1:12.31.

That would likely give her a figure in the low 90s again.

Which wouldn't be too bad. Moving up to face winners, moving to dirt and making it look easy.

Better than not too bad. Maybe she and Agave Kiss can square off.

Agave Kiss was visually as impressive as a horse will ever be, but her beyer came back only a 71. I for one am not sure what to make of the 19 point regression.

How about that she was in a canter for all but about the first 200 yards.

Applauding is finally due to race again. She's entered in the 8th at Churchill tomorrow. First start since she dominated her first two races and went to the sidelines.
