The question of rabbits

Don't believe me? Watch... I'm a win this race
And I'm a come back and rub my s**t on your face, b**ch.
I found my nitch, You gonna fear my voice
Till your sick of it you ain't gonna have a choice
If I gotta scream till I have half a lung
If I have half a chance
I'll grab it
rabbit
run.

:D

Soooo it's a slow day so figured I'd ask...

Some people think Frankel is currently the greatest horse in training (I don't).

I'm not a complete moron and I understand the use of rabbits but for the horse some consider the second coming... I'm just wondering how you all feel about this... that Mr. Cecil wil be employing Bullet Train to act as such.

How do you feel about this?

How do you feel about the use of rabbits in general?

Have a favorite one or story?

Anyone wanna discuss this or should we just get back to the Zenyatta thread? :D

(Here... if anyone wants to see Bullet Train and his 2 wins just click on his name under horses in training / 4 year olds and you can view)...

Rabbit Run was written by John Updike....to attribute anything else to that title is sacrilege.

I liked when Pletcher entered Bishop Court Hill in the 05 Jockey Club Gold Cup as a rabbit.. he ended up dueling for the lead with his own entry mate Flower Alley..

GenuineRisk 10-04-2011 06:59 PM

How about Sir Barton being entered as a rabbit in the Kentucky Derby? That worked out rather well for him.

It's even funnier when you consider his intended target.

Kind Sir:

Whilst I do have the utmost respect and admiration for you...

1. Start your own stupid rabbit thread if mine isn't good enough.:p, and...

2. The only thing I like about Updike (Zzzz) is that he is slightly less boring than Cheever.

(You know I love you).

So where are the Frankel people?

No one?

LOVED Bishop Court Hill.

My favorite rabbit is Blatant who often forgot his job and would finish 3rd at crazy odds of 100/1, 30/1, etc.

He was the rabbit for Dubawi and Dubai Destination to name a few..

Loach is my favorite rabbit, after the Energizer Bunny of course.

One of Lava Man's many brilliant races outside of CA..

That was the autumn of the rabbit at Belmont... the Show Boot/Crafty Player entry in the Woodward was unusual.. I wonder how many times two rabbits from the same barn ran in the same race.

Really? Why's that? The STG rabbit thing?

I liked his sire quite a bit.

Zenyatta never needed a rabbit.

They never used a rabbit for her, in the interest of fair play.

How about Shake The Bank and Better Talk Now?.............not a bad pair.

PatCummings 10-05-2011 09:11 PM

How bout the absolute disaster of Red Rock Canyon in 2007 BC Turf, when a maiden, and Soldier of Fortune pace-pressing him, while an actual closer made a slightly pre-mature move (Eagle Mountain) and a real closer, Conduit, flew past them all.

Might be one of the five worst Breeders' Cup rides ever - Johnny Murtagh on Soldier of Fortune that is.

Loved both.

I will ask again...

Where are the Frankel people?

Again I don't think he wins tomorrow and I'll put my money where my big mouth is (on the filly, Immortal Verse) so if I'm wrong it's my problem.

Why though, if he's the second coming, does he even need a rabbit?

2008

Yes it was a horrible ride...so was the one Silver Mountain got right behind him.
Conduit's jock was the only one that had a brain that day.

They still don't top Rosie Ho on Cloudy's Knight in the BC Marathon....
