Liberalism unvarnished

Krugman is a disgrace: http://krugman.blogs.nytimes.com/201...ears-of-shame/

Some liberal he is: “I’m not going to allow comments on this post, for obvious reasons.”

While his being an unpatriotic jackass is no doubt obvious, his not allowing for opposing points of view to be aired highlights the incredible weakness of his position.

i happen to agree with him. the war on iraq was linked to the terrorist attack only in order to justify an unjustifiable attack in iraq. iraq didnt have a thing to do with 911. billions spent to make our country 'safer' when in fact the biggest fearmonger is our govt. defense has always been a huge drain on our budget, now its even worse. the attack absolutely has been used more than once to explain away our bad actions, as tho we are a perennial victim. fdr was right about fear itself, who knew it would take seventy years to prove it?
any questioning of our direction automatically brought the questioners patriotism into account. i would imagine someone at some point will throw that at me.
gwb said if youre not with us youre against us, and that is stuck in our psyche...

We haven't beaten this to death in a while, but to me Bush obviously lied to the public and even the Cabinet to justify this war. So Krugman is spot on regarding that. But I also, in hindsite, feel that dubya showed true compassion for the victims and the cities despite his alterior motives

FTFY... I need to get you a new calculator. The one you are using seems to be short a few digits

Bush, his cronies, and the lies he told this country, is the shame our young men and women have paid for with their lives. Krugman is completely correct about that.

I agree that Bush is honest in his feelings of compassion for the 9-11 victims.

And you are free to send an Op-Ed letter with your opposing view to the Times. I'll look forward to it being published.

The timing of the article was disrespectful. I mean seriously there aren't 364 other days to politicalize 9/11 and its aftermath?
