I'm elated that the unconstitutional "progressive" tax code has been unsuccessful in deterring enterprising individuals from suceeding and profiting from their efforts.

Of course, they are destined to fail, as the point has been made many times, because when effort is truly unprofitable, people will stop trying and there will be no income to collect from that bracket, thereby lowering tax revenue in spite of the higher tax rate.

The basis contention that the government takes from the rich to redistribute to the poor is exactly the factual opposite of what has occurred over the past 30 years.

If the student wanted to do something remotely real, he'd ask the top students if they would be willing to take a few extra percentage of grade points from the lower graded students. That mirrors this country and how the tax system works.
