How many years have to transpire before Obama gets assigned some responsibility for this crisis?

Do you really think he can coast to the 2012 election saying "It's still George W. Bush's fault?"

Time to revise those talking points Bob. They are plaaaayed!

This is 100% Bushs fault and anyone with a modicum of a brain would realize that. Obamas fault is that he is incapable of slowing the Economic Tusnami that Bush put in place and therefore does NOT deserve another shot at it. Notice how Oil Companies have been enjoying record profits for years and years. Is it a WILD coincedence that both Bush and Cheny are Oilmen? No IRAQ and No Afghanistan and No Outsourcing we are not in this mess.

Let's dissect that argument, shall we:

We'll ignore the personal insult part : "Anyone with a modicum of a brain", since that is designed for leverage (i.e. disagree with me and you're stupid). Besides the fact that I think you meant to say "a modicum of intelligence" since intelligence is present in varying degrees, but everyone has a brain.

The price of oil has shot up because the dollar is weak AND the Democrats will not allow us to drill. No ANWAR, severe restrictions on gulf drilling, so many rigs have moved to Brazil to drill for George Soros' company. Obama told Brazil, "We want to be your customers" for oil. Heaven forbid that we drill for it ourselves - that would offend the Ecology Nazis.

Guess what? I agree with you in ending the Iraq and Afghanistan campaigns (and Libya). Why hasn't he done that? It's only been 2 years and 8 months that he's been in office. Plenty of golf played in that time, but no action on pulling back troops.

Instead, and this is the funny if it wasn't so goddamned serious part, he ADDED $1.6 trillion this year alone as a DEFICIT. Not the DEBT - which is at $14.5 trillion. Is it a WILD coincidence that this community organizer knows nothing about economics, and thinks that trillion dollar deficits as far as the eye can see is just fine? He assumes that the creditors, like Communist China will continue to shell out while we don't make payment one on the principal of the loan.

At least you agree that he doesn't deserve another term, but since this is "100% Bush's fault", it must be 0% Obama's fault, and taken together with him not deserving another term, then according to you his term as president is merely irrelevant, instead of dangerous. We disagree there too.

Is it a lot less than Bush took during his first 32 months in office?

10% of income should not really be considered "record profits". The dollar amounts are higher because the volume is higher because the population is bigger. The actual rate of income is about the same as it has always been. At least they pay taxes (maybe not their "fair share") unlike O's boy Immelt.
Record profits should be based on percentage of income, that is how you know if someone is robbing the country. Whenever anyone discusses numbers here they use the convenient factor, be it % or $ to make their point.

The Republican National Committee has taken to calling Obama “the Clark Griswold president,” a mocking reference to the Chevy Chase character in National Lampoon’s “Vacation” movies. With unemployment claims climbing again, the GOP was hoping its criticism would have a certain national resonance. And maybe it will.

One potential complication: Obama has spent far less time on vacation than his Republican predecessor, George W. Bush, had at this point in his presidency.

Veteran CBS News White House correspondent Mark Knoller, a fastidious keeper of presidential statistics, has kept count. By his tally, Obama has embarked on nine “vacations” since taking office, bringing his total days off to 48. Some of those trips lasted a day and some, like his Christmas holiday in Hawaii, more than a week.

By comparison, Bush had visited his ranch in Crawford, Tex., 14 times at this point in his administration and spent 115 days there

OK, that's a fair answer. I really didn't know how many days GWB was on vacation. Only complication, and this would not be measurable, is how many administrative functions could be performed from Crawford as well as they could be in D.C. I mean - you may be able to exclude Camp David for both presidents because I'm sure they have full use of their office functions from there - depends on the criteria.

Crawford ranch was basically another office. see: http://www.trumanlittlewhitehouse.co...use-museum.htm

Its so ridiculous that this vacation thing is a big deal for either Obama or Bush. Its not like they are unreachable. And I'm sorry, but every person deserves some R&R, whether you are the president or not.

Oh, you mean like the Tea Party wanted to do by not raising the debt ceiling? News flash dumbass, when the economy sucks, deficits generally go up. And the economy still sucks largely because he's pretty much done nothing but enact Republican "NO TAXES ON ANYTHING EVARRR" policy since the day he took office.

Deficits only go up if you keep spending the same (or more) money. Increasing taxes during a recession, "dumbass", is the worst thing you can do.

The taxes are already too high. Time to cut the taxes, and SLASH spending.

This is absolute garbage. Tax revenues are the lowest they've ever been and the economy is still crap.
