job openings

if anyone out there knows someone who needs a job and has electrical or mechanical experience, tell them to go to gp.com and apply. the paper mill here (well, near my house-plant is in crossett ark)has had openings for some time, but haven't filled the positions. i think they also have production openings. i think the other gp facilities may also have openings here; plywood, chemical, extrusion...

as long as the paycheck appears every two weeks at midnight, i don't care what they are. tony makes damned good money working for them; suits me just fine.

My dad works for them and has worked for James River, GP, etc since 1989 Some other people on this board continually bash them and believe they are the devil (RIOT)

I continually bash the Koch Brothers' purchase of a good portion of the Republican party, through their PAC's and through their Republican Governors Associate agenda, and through ALEC. Yes, I do, indeed. They own Wisconsin's Governor. He jumps through their hoops, passing their legislation. Walker is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Koch Industries.

I have never called them the devil.

yeah, a friend of ours works at port hudson now. i know there was a lot of worry when koch first bought the company, but i'm glad they bought it. no more worries every time the stock market moves. privately held imo has less worry than public, as you don't have to worry about shareholders, reporting, etc, etc. our oldest works for them now as well.
