Barry Abrams is recovering from surgery to deal with a recurrence of throat cancer. I wish him all the best.

Warmest wishes for a speedy recovery to Barry. He's one of the people I enjoy the most when visiting Santa Anita, and hope he gets through this 100%.

Owner-breeder Madeline Auerbach reported that trainer Barry Abrams was released to his home in Arcadia, California, Friday night after undergoing surgery for throat cancer Tuesday at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena. "He's doing great," Auerbach said of the 57-year-old trainer who has been busy texting on the phone.
