NBC to Broadcast Live Coverage of Saratoga

Color me shocked. Racing on the network that isn't The Derby, Preakness or Belmont Stakes.

Any of them added is a good thing. Hopefully we'll get a few good, close finishes in them to add interest.

At least they don't have the LLWS broadcast rights... or we'd be in trouble.

I got inexplicably dizzy and nauseous earlier today. I blamed on something I ate. In retrospect, it was probably shock from learning this information. Very pleased. I can't remember the last time I saw the Travers or much else from Saratoga on network tv. Maybe it just feels like it's been awhile, but I've grumbled about it more than once.

It's about damn time. Hopefully enough racing fans watch those broadcasts to make it a worthwhile investment.

They should have Byk host it.

Actually Serling is the most qualified. He works hard, is from Saratoga, and is the face of NY Racing. Anyone less is simply not ideal.

Nice.................

You're absolutely right.

Just a heads up, Versus is re-airing the Travers coverage at 4-5pm before the Woodward, Forego and, I presume, Personal Ensign hour so anybody that didn't see it due to Hurricane Irene drama can catch it this time around. I'm sure that's part of their motivation even though everybody knows the results of the Travers and King's Bishop at this point.

Excellent. A void in the DVD library will be filled.
