Jose Lezcano
Amazing performance in the 1st at Belmont. His mount Westside Corral clipped heels as they approached the turn and he nearly went down. He somehow managed to stay on, got himself situated again and ended up winning the race.
|
That really was something. For what it's worth, Lezcano is the only jockey with 500 or more mounts at Belmont between 2009 and 2010 who has a positive ROI. Incidentally, Clement is the only trainer who has 200 or more starters during that same period with a positive ROI.

Threads like this make me miss the Fat Man. I'm sure he would have had a grossly inappropriate, and irrelevent, response that we all would have enjoyed.

Granted it won't quite capture the essence of TFM but it might help fill the void. |

I always felt his wrath when he used them. |

Beyerite idiots. Clipping heels probably won him the race.

By the way, to those who might take me seriously, ala Hockey or Vol Jack, I was being facetious in my previous post.

Didn't that also make Seattle Mission the beaten favorite for 5 straight races?:wf

F'n NYRA, always taking races off the turf. Woodbine wouldn't do that:rolleyes:
