Cohen out 3 to 4 weeks with leg fracture

Jockey David Cohen will be out of action three to four weeks due to a stress fracture in his right leg, agent Bill Castle said.

Cohen, the second-leading rider during Aqueduct’s inner-track meet and third at the current main track stand, had two ontrack incidents in the past month involving his right leg. On March 10, he was kicked in the calf after his mount, Talented Princess, unseated him coming out of the starting gate at Aqueduct. Cohen missed more than a week of action at that time.

Jockey Francisco Vidal back in the winners circle after two years
It was a new version of Veterans Day at River Downs at River Downs on Wednesday as highlighted by the return of 52-year-old Francisco Vidal to the winner's circle. Vidal put in a strong closing performance to catch the leaders in the final strides in the third race aboard Talented Princess.

"I feel really good right now and hope that the trainers here see I'm back in shape and ready to win races for them," said Vidal as he entered the jockeys quarters and was greeted by many well wishers on his return.
